Job Overview: The Project Analyst position is integral to the successful implementation of the 'NGO Empowerment for Poverty Reduction Program/Tadamon,' which aims to empower civil society organizations in OIC member countries. The role involves supporting administrative and financial tasks under the guidance of the Project Manager, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work that is accurate, timely, and well-documented. The Project Analyst will contribute to the effective management of project operations, including budget planning, monitoring expenditures, and preparing financial reports. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve project objectives. The Project Analyst will also play a key role in organizing training and capacity-building activities, facilitating knowledge sharing, and ensuring compliance with UNDP policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Project Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:
Contributing to the management of administrative and financial operations by setting up project plans in the ERP system, tracking budget allocations, and generating financial reports.
Supporting project management in budget planning, preparation, and execution, ensuring compliance with UNDP and donor procedures.
Processing payment requests and monitoring budget expenditures to maintain accurate financial records.
Assisting in procurement processes and preparing documentation for contract meetings.
Supporting the organization of workshops, seminars, and events, including logistics and participant communication.
Managing grants by ensuring timely disbursement and compliance with grant agreements.
Facilitating knowledge sharing and capacity-building activities, documenting best practices, and contributing to reports on project progress.
Performing other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the office and organization.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, Project Management, or a relevant field. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field combined with two years of qualifying experience will be considered. Applicants with a Master’s degree are not required to have prior professional work experience, while those with a Bachelor’s degree must have at least two years of relevant experience in administrative or project management roles. Proficiency in using office software and database packages is essential, and experience with financial management processes, organizing training activities, and fundraising is highly desirable.
