Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall communication strategy of the UN. Key duties include: - Developing engaging social media content that aligns with the UN's objectives. - Producing videos, infographics, and other visual materials to enhance communication efforts. - Writing clear and compelling content for social media, the UN website, and newsletters to inform and engage the public. - Facilitating the translation of texts by coordinating with the translation team to ensure timely delivery of translations. - Taking detailed notes during relevant meetings, including sessions of the Human Rights Council, to capture key discussions and decisions. - Monitoring relevant news and circulating daily press clippings to keep the team informed of current events and trends.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: (a) be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent). While professional work experience is not required, a field of study closely related to the internship is essential. Candidates must be students in their final year of a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. program, or have completed such programs. Proof of eligibility must be provided with the application.

Educational Background:
Candidates should have a background in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field. A minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent is required, and those pursuing or having completed a master's or Ph.D. program are also eligible. The educational background should be relevant to the tasks and responsibilities of the internship, particularly in areas related to media, communication, and public information.

Experience:
While no prior professional work experience is required for this internship, candidates with experience in drafting news articles and social media posts in English are preferred.
