Job Overview: The National Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the Food and Agriculture Organization's mission in Ukraine. This position is designed for a dedicated individual who will assist in resource mobilization efforts, ensuring that FAO can effectively implement its programs aimed at enhancing food security and agricultural production in vulnerable communities. The assistant will work closely with various units within FAO Ukraine, contributing to the development of funding proposals, maintaining relationships with donors, and supporting the overall visibility of FAO's initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities: The National Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing FAO's resource mobilization and partnership management efforts. Key responsibilities include conducting research on potential donors and funding opportunities, preparing compelling funding proposals and donor reports, and contributing to the development of strategic funding plans. The assistant will also work closely with the communications team to enhance visibility through social media and press releases, manage project cycle management steps, and monitor budgetary contributions. Additionally, the role involves establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with stakeholders, managing databases of partner contacts, drafting communication materials, and providing translation and interpretation support as needed. The assistant will also ensure compliance with FAO standards and guidelines in all communications and materials produced.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in international development, humanitarian affairs, public administration, political science, journalism, mass communications, or a related field. A minimum of one year of relevant experience in resource mobilization, partnership management, or donor relations is required, preferably within international organizations or NGOs. Candidates must also be nationals of Ukraine and have a working knowledge of English at Level C. The role demands strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a proactive attitude towards tasks.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in fields related to international development, humanitarian affairs, public administration, political science, journalism, or mass communications. The degree must be from an institution recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED), ensuring that the educational qualifications are valid and accredited.
Experience: The position requires at least one year of relevant experience in resource mobilization, partnership management, or donor relations. Experience working with international organizations, NGOs, or development programs is preferred.
