Job Overview: The Analyst position at EBRD is integral to the project cycle, encompassing project origination, structuring, execution, implementation, and monitoring. The Analyst will be responsible for various tasks assigned by the operation leader or senior bankers, which include conducting comprehensive due diligence, ensuring compliance with EBRD policies, and facilitating effective post-signing implementation and monitoring. This role requires collaboration within a project team, where the Analyst will contribute to research, risk analysis, financial modeling, and communication with stakeholders. The position also involves monitoring project progress and financial performance, preparing reports, and ensuring adherence to project agreements and Bank procedures. The Analyst will progressively take on more complex tasks, enhancing their responsibilities as they gain experience.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Analyst's duties include working as part of a project team on transactions, conducting thorough research and analysis of market information and financial data, evaluating potential risks, and preparing financial models and projections. The Analyst will assist in designing technical cooperation assistance, prepare internal documentation, and communicate with various stakeholders. Additionally, the Analyst will monitor project implementation, assess compliance with agreements, prepare monitoring reports, and recommend corrective actions when necessary. The role is designed to allow the Analyst to develop their skills and take on more complex responsibilities over time, contributing to the overall success of the projects they are involved in.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in relevant fields. Professional qualifications such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA are desirable. Strong quantitative and numerical skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret financial information and design financial models. Candidates should have credit analysis skills, familiarity with local and international accounting principles, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial modeling software. Effective teamwork, time management, and communication skills in both English and Ukrainian are also required.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
