Job Overview: The Programme Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing and leading FAO's programs and activities in Cox's Bazar, particularly focusing on emergency agriculture and livelihood support. Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent will lead and manage FAO’s program in Cox’s Bazar, ensuring effective emergency agriculture and livelihood support. Key responsibilities include:
Providing strategic guidance and oversight for FAO’s activities in Cox’s Bazar, particularly in emergency preparedness and resilience strengthening.
Leading the development of FAO’s contributions to inter-agency Joint/Humanitarian Response Plans and Flash Appeals.
Representing FAO in interagency coordination meetings and ensuring effective communication with government partners at the district level.
Establishing and maintaining contacts with donors to provide updated information on FAO’s assessments and response plans.
Coordinating closely with the Dhaka-based Emergency and Resilience Unit to ensure coherence in emergency actions.
Leading the formulation of project proposals and reports related to FAO's Resilience Strategy.
Promoting a conducive working environment for the FAO Cox’s Bazar Office and supporting staff professional growth.
Reporting on program performance and ensuring high-quality communication materials are developed and disseminated to stakeholders. 1
