Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
The National Township Facilitator will have a range of responsibilities including but not limited to:
  • Coordinating project activities in Hlaingtharya and Shwepyithar townships, ensuring alignment with UNDP's strategic objectives.
  • Engaging with local stakeholders, including community members, government officials, and NGOs, to promote project initiatives and gather feedback.
  • Conducting regular assessments of project implementation and reporting on progress to UNDP management.
  • Facilitating workshops and training sessions to build local capacity and enhance community participation in project activities.
  • Identifying challenges and proposing solutions to improve project outcomes.
  • Documenting lessons learned and best practices to inform future project planning and implementation.
  • Collaborating with other team members and departments within UNDP to ensure a cohesive approach to development in the region.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. A deep understanding of the local context in Hlaingtharya and Shwepyithar is essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate a commitment to the principles of sustainable development and community engagement. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies is highly desirable, along with the ability to analyze data and produce reports. Candidates should also be adaptable and able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in social sciences, development studies, or a related field is required. A master's degree would be an advantage. Candidates should have a strong academic background that demonstrates their understanding of development issues and community engagement strategies.

Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in community development, project management, or a related field is required. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in the context of UNDP projects, is highly desirable. Languages:
