Job Overview: The position of Coordinator for Learning Projects and Digital Transformation in Education aims to support the coordination and development of educational projects designed by UNESCO Santiago. The coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders, including educational ministries and civil society organizations, to ensure the effective implementation of projects that enhance digital competencies and promote educational innovation.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Coordinator will undertake a variety of tasks, including: establishing governance mechanisms and operational plans for managing learning and digital transformation projects; adapting project methodologies to specific national or regional contexts; designing and managing capacity-building models in digital talent for educational leaders and teachers; preparing terms of reference for necessary services and coordinating the selection of service providers; promoting the development of digital talent communities of practice; organizing meetings, conferences, and seminars for knowledge exchange; supporting the design and planning of new projects; developing baseline indicators for monitoring project performance; coordinating relationships with strategic partners; assisting in budget execution and compliance with administrative processes; supporting communication activities among stakeholders; and maintaining an updated digital repository related to the projects.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in education, social sciences, political science, public policy, business administration, economics, international relations, or a related field. A higher university degree (master's or equivalent) in project management, digital education, or technologies applied to education is also required. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of five years of professional experience in designing, managing, monitoring, and evaluating educational projects, with at least two years specifically in managing learning and digital transformation projects. Experience in teacher training, innovative teaching methodologies, and drafting reports in international contexts is essential. Candidates should also have experience coordinating with governmental entities, international organizations, and civil society actors.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as education, social sciences, or public policy, complemented by a Master's degree in project management or digital education. This combination of education ensures that the candidate has both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for effective project coordination and management in the educational sector.
