Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Partnership Coordinator include acting as the primary liaison between UNEP, ASHRAE, and other stakeholders, providing regular reports on project progress, and continuously monitoring project activities. Specific tasks include reviewing and analyzing the ASHRAE-UNEP Work Plan, developing a comprehensive project timeline, designing monitoring and reporting frameworks, organizing stakeholder meetings, and documenting lessons learned. The coordinator will also finalize the implementation of pilot communication points, coordinate technical support activities, launch the UNEP RAC Sustainability Guide, and revamp the Lower GWP Innovation Award portion of the ASHRAE UNEP portal. Additional responsibilities include drafting the 2026/2027 Biennial Work Plan and providing technical expertise in RAC-related areas.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience in fields such as environment, engineering, technology, or chemistry. A bachelor's degree in science, environment, engineering, business, public policy, or a related area is required, although other academic qualifications combined with relevant experience may be accepted. Experience working with developing countries is desirable, along with extensive experience in planning and managing workshops and training events. Strong communication and facilitation skills are essential, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the Montreal Protocol and related energy-efficiency issues.
Educational Background: A minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree in science, environment, engineering, business, public policy, or other relevant areas is necessary for this position. Other academic qualifications, in combination with the required experience, may be accepted in lieu of the bachelor's degree.
