The incumbent will monitor budget implementation and expenditures, recommend reallocations of funds, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Additionally, the role involves auditing various accounting transactions, preparing financial statements for different funds, and providing guidance and training to staff. The Senior Finance and Budget Assistant will also be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial databases, drafting correspondence related to financial matters, and keeping up to date with relevant financial regulations and guidelines.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a strong preference for those who have additional qualifications in finance, accounting, or related fields. The position requires a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in finance, budget, accounting, or administrative services. Candidates with a first-level university degree or higher may have the minimum experience requirement reduced to eight years. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with investment operations, particularly related to Fixed Income instruments, are essential. Experience in investment management and operations systems is desirable, as is knowledge of SWIFT for trade settlements.

Educational Background:

However, candidates with a first-level university degree or higher in finance, accounting, or a related field are preferred, as this may reduce the required years of experience.
