Duties and Responsibilities: The National Field Officer will undertake a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: frequently visiting meeting areas and nearby towns to gather information on local dynamics; building productive relationships with local actors and communities; supporting regional teams in implementing activities related to the mission's mandate; monitoring incidents and alleged violations of the peace agreement; assisting in the analysis of security threats; preparing and analyzing reports; maintaining relationships with authorities involved in security guarantees; monitoring economic reintegration projects; creating communication materials for peace education; participating in institutional spaces for peace; serving as a liaison between UN counterparts and local actors; and performing additional functions as required. The officer will also engage in activities that promote volunteerism and contribute to the UNV community.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to the principles of volunteering. They should possess strong interpersonal communication skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment, and a capacity for problem-solving and organization.
