Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be responsible for several key tasks:
Familiarizing themselves with the legal and social context of ongoing reforms in Morocco related to valuing unpaid care work.
Reviewing and modifying the literature review and benchmark on previous experiences and practices worldwide regarding the valuation of unpaid care work in family codes and similar legal frameworks.
Proposing elements and principles to consider for the valuation exercise.
Preparing a methodology that leads to methods, means, and formulas for estimating the value of unpaid care work within households at the microeconomic level.
Discussing the proposed methodology in a national meeting with relevant stakeholders by mid-March.
Preparing the required guidelines, including proposed methods, means, and formulas to be integrated into the reformed Family Code by the end of March. These guidelines will encompass the elements and principles impacting the valuation exercise and the methods for estimating the value of unpaid care work.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree in economics, gender studies, law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">international law, or related fields.
