Job Overview: The Team Assistant position is situated within Cluster 4, which focuses on Statistics, the Information Society, and Technology. This role is pivotal in supporting the Head of Statistical Policies and Coordination Unit. The Team Assistant is expected to monitor processes and schedules related to the unit’s outputs and products, ensuring compliance with legal and financial requirements. The position involves researching, compiling, and organizing information for various reports and meetings, generating statistical reports, and assisting in the preparation of training materials. The Team Assistant will also maintain calendars, perform data entry, and manage files and databases. This role requires a proactive approach to support the collection and analysis of data, contributing to knowledge management and decision-making processes. The position is designed for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Team Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks including monitoring processes and schedules related to the unit’s outputs, assisting in the verification of documents for compliance, researching and compiling information for reports and meetings, generating standard statistical reports, preparing presentation materials, maintaining websites, managing calendars, performing data entry, and maintaining both paper and electronic files. Additionally, the Team Assistant will provide guidance to less experienced staff, assist in data collection and analysis, and help with the dissemination of information. The role also includes adjusting reported data from various sources, compiling statistical series for comparison, and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. A first-level university degree in statistics, economics, or a related field is desirable. The position requires a minimum of three years of experience in statistical work or a related area, which can be reduced to one year for candidates with a first-level university degree or higher. Experience in data analytics, proficiency in Excel or other data management systems, and experience in drafting statistical reports are essential. Familiarity with SPSS or other statistical analysis programs is also desirable.
Educational Background: The educational requirement for this position includes a high school diploma or equivalent as a minimum.
