Job Overview: The Innovation Analyst position at UNFPA involves supporting the implementation of innovative solutions to enhance sexual and reproductive health services across the Eastern and Southern Africa region. The role requires collaboration with country offices to operationalize their innovation and digitalization plans, coordinate innovation focal points, and assist in the dissemination of social innovation tools. The analyst will work closely with the Regional Innovation Specialist to provide technical assistance, support the implementation of the regional ENGINE project, and engage in various innovation challenges aimed at improving youth mental health and access to reproductive health information. The position emphasizes the importance of integrating gender perspectives and ensuring that the needs of the most vulnerable populations are addressed through innovative approaches.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Innovation Analyst will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: assisting in the implementation of innovation challenges such as HackLabs focused on youth mental health and sexual and reproductive health; coordinating with Country Innovation Focal Points across 23 countries; providing technical assistance to country offices in developing and implementing innovation frameworks; supporting the UNFPA ENGINE virtual incubation hub; managing communications related to regional innovation efforts, including newsletters and toolkits; documenting and reporting on regional initiatives; and ensuring that age, gender, and diversity perspectives are integrated into all activities. The analyst will also engage with stakeholders to promote innovation solutions and support the overall mission of UNFPA.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Innovation Analyst position should possess strong analytical and communication skills, with a commitment to teamwork and respect for diversity. Proficiency in computer skills and customer service is essential, along with interpersonal skills and professionalism.
