Job Overview: The Supply Chain Assistant position is critical within the Warehouse and Commodity Management Section of UNMISS, located in Juba, Central Equatorial State. Duties and Responsibilities: The Supply Chain Assistant will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: receiving and processing requests for goods, preparing pick lists and issue vouchers, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The assistant will also support the identification of stock levels, prepare warehouse activity reports, supervise and train junior personnel, track the consumption of expendable items, and coordinate write-off actions. Monthly stock takes and annual physical inventories will be conducted to ensure accuracy in inventory management. The assistant will also be responsible for maintaining the security and organization of warehouse stocks, liaising with administration staff regarding goods requirements, and submitting timely reports to management. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed by the Warehouse Officer/Supervisor.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess strong planning and organizational skills, professionalism, and effective communication abilities. A thorough understanding of supply chain management principles and practices is essential, along with the ability to work under pressure and in challenging conditions.
