Job Overview: The Program Associate will be based in New Delhi and will provide essential logistics support to the Eco-City Regions (ECR) team. This role involves assisting in the execution of various initiatives aimed at enhancing climate resilience, environmental governance, urban ecology, and urban policy planning. The associate will be responsible for managing outreach, logistics, and event coordination for the ECR initiative, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties of the Program Associate include providing outreach and logistics support for WRI India’s initiatives, ensuring effective coordination and vendor management for events and workshops related to the ECR initiative. The associate will support event coordination, assist in the timely completion of project deliverables, and maintain close communication with internal team members to meet project objectives. Additionally, the associate will manage relationships with donors and implementation partners, contributing to the successful execution of various planned activities. This role requires a detail-oriented approach to manage multiple priorities while upholding the highest standards of ethics and consistency in work.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess a graduate degree in social sciences, research, or related disciplines. A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in project management, coordination, and stakeholder management is preferred. Proficiency in online tools and software such as Asana, Canva, Kobo, Miro Board, and Microsoft Project is essential. Demonstrated experience in managing teams and stakeholder relationships is crucial, along with excellent facilitation, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Experience working with government ministries, departments, and non-government stakeholders is considered a plus.
Educational Background: The ideal candidate should have a graduate degree in social sciences, research, or a related field. This educational background is desirable as it equips the candidate with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively engage in project management and coordination within the context of urban development and environmental governance.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 2 years of work experience in project management, coordination, and stakeholder management within a reputable organization.
