Job Overview: The Grants Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the grant processes within the organization. This position requires a strategic thinker who can effectively coordinate grant applications, monitor compliance with donor requirements, and ensure that all financial and programmatic reporting is completed accurately and on time. The Grants Coordinator will work closely with program teams to identify funding opportunities and develop proposals that align with the organization's mission and objectives. This role also involves liaising with donors and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and ensure that the organization meets its funding goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of grant management processes and be able to navigate complex funding landscapes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate the preparation and submission of grant proposals and reports to donors, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
Monitor and evaluate grant-funded projects to ensure they are on track and meeting objectives.
Develop and maintain relationships with donors, stakeholders, and partners to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Provide training and support to program staff on grant management best practices and compliance issues.
Conduct research to identify new funding opportunities and assist in the development of funding strategies.
Prepare financial reports and budgets related to grant funding, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
Maintain comprehensive records of grant applications, contracts, and reports for auditing purposes.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper allocation and utilization of grant funds.
Stay informed about trends and changes in the funding landscape and share insights with the team.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in grant writing and management, preferably in the non-profit sector.
Strong understanding of donor requirements and compliance issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as international relations, public administration, or business administration is required. A master's degree is preferred and may be an advantage in the selection process.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant management, fundraising, or related fields is required. Experience working with international donors and understanding their funding mechanisms is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic or French is considered an asset and will be advantageous in the role.
