Job Overview: The Human Resources Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the human resources functions within the organization. This position is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals. The HR Manager will work closely with senior management to ensure that the organization attracts, retains, and develops a diverse and talented workforce. The role includes managing recruitment processes, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. The HR Manager will also be expected to foster a positive workplace culture and promote employee engagement initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support the organization's strategic objectives.
Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
Manage employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
Provide guidance and support to managers on performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
Conduct training needs assessments and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation.
Manage employee benefits and compensation programs, ensuring competitiveness and fairness.
Foster a positive organizational culture that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Maintain HR records and prepare reports on HR metrics for senior management. 1
Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations in the Palestinian Territory.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A master's degree or professional HR certification (such as SHRM or CIPD) is preferred and will be considered an asset.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Experience working in a humanitarian or non-profit context is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages is considered an advantage.
Additional Notes: This is a full-time position based in Gaza.
