Job Overview:
The ICT Intern position at ACF Tanzania is designed to provide Level 1 ICT support to the mission staff. The intern will be responsible for managing support requests from both the Bases and the capital office, collaborating closely with the Regional ICT team to resolve any ICT-related issues. This role is crucial for ensuring business continuity and effective ICT support for the staff in Tanzania. The intern will also assist in managing and updating asset and equipment registers, contributing to the strategic digitization of the organization's program elements. The position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in ICT support while contributing to the overall mission of ACF.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will have a variety of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: managing the Helpdesk for support calls and tickets; providing Level 1 support for hardware and software to all users; administering and managing both software and hardware for PCs; conducting preventive maintenance; monitoring and maintaining networks; updating equipment and asset registers; supporting the scale-out of ACF automated tools; deploying and managing developed tools; training users on ICT policies, processes, and standards; engaging in graphic design; and designing Information Education Communication (IEC) materials such as flyers, infographics, and project briefs. Additionally, the intern will support the deployment of ERP systems that are currently underway.

Required Qualifications:
The minimum qualifications required for this position include a Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science. Candidates should possess fluency in English and have experience in the humanitarian or development industry. Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills are essential, along with strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate should demonstrate decision-making and problem-solving abilities, the capacity to work within deadlines, professionalism, teamwork, proactivity, and motivation. Attention to detail and a self-starter attitude with a strong desire to promote and implement continuous improvement efforts are also crucial for success in this role.

Educational Background:
Candidates applying for the ICT Intern position must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding and addressing the technical challenges that may arise in the role.

Experience:
While specific prior experience may not be mandatory, having experience in the humanitarian or development sector is highly desirable.
