Job Overview:
The Communication Officer - EM&O2 will play a crucial role in developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies that align with the program's objectives of enhancing prevention and diagnosis practices and improving the supply and use of high-quality oxygen services. This position requires a highly qualified individual with substantial experience in communications, capable of assessing communication needs, designing materials for various audiences, and managing projects effectively. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Program Communication and Dissemination strategy that aligns with program goals and drives stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborate with program teams to design and implement the communication strategy, ensuring it meets the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the project team to understand the target audience and create impactful communication content and collateral that effectively disseminates program information.
  • Develop a channel deployment strategy for social media, internal/external communication, donor engagement, and fundraising efforts.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to understand content requirements and create content through ongoing consultations.
  • Collaborate with agencies to produce clear, visually engaging reports and communication materials, including infographics.
  • Draft, edit, and proofread content that highlights program impact and success stories.
  • Conduct regular field visits to gather feedback on engagement strategies and refine communication materials based on insights.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to high-quality standards across all communication products. 1
  • Prepare detailed reports on communication outcomes and offer recommendations for improving future strategies.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in strategic communications, preferably in non-profit, global health, or international development sectors.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong understanding of digital communication platforms, including social media and email marketing tools.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to measure communication effectiveness and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within diverse teams and engagement with stakeholders.
  • High emotional intelligence, demonstrating patience and thoughtfulness in high-pressure situations.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and design software is a plus.

Educational Background:
