Job Overview:
The Enumerator position at CIMMYT involves engaging in data collection services through various methodologies such as household surveys, focus group discussions, and key informant interviews. The role is crucial for gathering qualitative and quantitative data that will inform agricultural research and development initiatives. Enumerators will be expected to conduct their work diligently and professionally, ensuring that data collection adheres to project protocols. Duties and Responsibilities:
Enumerators will be tasked with conducting qualitative and quantitative primary data collection through key informant interviews, focus group discussions, and household surveys. They must ensure accurate and reliable data collection according to established project protocols. Responsibilities include attending relevant training sessions, supporting the improvement of data collection tools through pretesting, uploading collected data, reviewing and revising submitted questionnaires, assisting in qualitative data cleaning, and maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards throughout the survey process. Additionally, enumerators will collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors and perform any other duties as assigned by their supervisors.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related discipline. Previous experience in data collection, surveys, or fieldwork is preferred. Familiarity with data collection tools such as Survey Solutions, Kobo Collect, or ODK Collect is also advantageous. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Candidates must be available to work in rural parts of Zimbabwe and demonstrate a commitment to ethical data collection practices.

Educational Background:
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related discipline is preferred for this position.
