Job Overview:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will play a pivotal role in steering the evolution of HealthX Partners Incorporated (HXP) as a new structure designed for value, impact, and growth within the global health sector. The COO will oversee all financial operations of HXP and its subsidiaries, which includes budgeting, financial reporting, audit management, grants and contracts, project and country finance support, pricing, procurement, facilities, and global IT operations. This position emphasizes change management and the implementation of a shared services model, ensuring that HXP operates with maximum efficiency and effectiveness. The COO will report directly to the CEO of HXP and will be instrumental in developing and executing the financial strategy of the organization, monitoring financial performance, and providing strategic updates to the board and executive teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The COO will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: developing and executing the financial strategy for HXP and its subsidiaries, forecasting capital and staffing requirements, evaluating trends and revenue opportunities, and identifying areas for improvement and cost reduction. The COO will manage the annual operating budget process, ensuring the financial health of the organization. Additionally, the COO will support the establishment of a shared services model, collaborate with executive teams to enhance organizational strategies, supervise and develop team members, interact with senior leadership and boards, maximize returns on investments, and embody a commitment to leading change humanely. The role may require 10-25% international travel, and the COO will be expected to perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, with a Master's Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field preferred. A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience is required, with at least 7 years in a supervisory role. Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader in various financial disciplines, capable of managing complex issues within a global organization, and will have in-depth knowledge of donor regulations affecting financial policies and programs. Strong leadership, employee development, and management skills are essential, along with excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's Degree in a related field. International equivalents of these degrees will also be considered. The educational qualifications should reflect a strong foundation in financial principles and practices, as well as an understanding of the global health sector.

Experience:
The position requires at least 15 years of relevant experience in financial management, with a strong emphasis on leadership and supervisory roles. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing complex financial operations within a global organization, demonstrating the ability to navigate both high-level strategic issues and detailed financial processes. Experience in a shared service center is preferred, as is familiarity with the unique challenges and regulations of the global health sector.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required for this position, as effective communication with a diverse range of stakeholders is essential. While English is mandatory, proficiency in additional languages is considered a valuable asset and may enhance a candidate's application.
