Job Overview:
The Partnership Coordinator position is integral to the consortium management structure for the 'Pathways to Protection' (P2P) project, which is a collaborative effort involving DRC, Danish Red Cross, and The International Detention Coalition. The role involves serving as the focal point for local partners across 10 countries, developing strategic frameworks to strengthen partnerships, ensuring compliance with global partnership principles, and aligning with DRC’s localization strategy. The coordinator will also be responsible for mapping new partnership opportunities, assessing partner capacities, and providing ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle, all under the direct management of the Chief of Party.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Partnership Development: Lead the Partnership and Localisation Strategy for the Consortium, advise on partner support structures, technically support country teams, conduct partner mappings, lead partnership selection and due diligence processes, provide support on partnership documentation, maintain a partnership database, and identify new partnership opportunities.
  • Capacity Assessment and Management: Support country operations in conducting partner organizational capacity assessments, analyze assessments to identify capacity building needs, review existing resources, and develop comprehensive capacity assessment tools.
  • Grants Management and Proposal Development: Collaborate with the Grants Specialist to ensure compliance with donor requirements, lead grant opening meetings, maintain partner report trackers, review partner reports, and monitor partner spending.
  • Representation: Represent the CMU in public forums, with donors, and in workshops related to localization and partnership themes.

Required Qualifications:
  • At least five years of professional experience in a relevant field, preferably within an NGO or humanitarian context.
  • Three years of experience in project or programme management with proven organizational skills.
  • Three years of experience engaging with national partners and local/government authorities.
  • Strong knowledge of donor compliance rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in training and coaching.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-cultural environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Capacity to live and work in high-stress environments and willingness to travel to project implementation countries.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills in English are required.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background is expected, typically at least a bachelor’s degree in a field related to international development, humanitarian assistance, social sciences, or a similar discipline. Advanced degrees may be preferred but are not explicitly required.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of professional experience, with specific emphasis on project or programme management, engagement with national partners, and compliance with donor regulations. Experience in training and coaching is also essential, along with the ability to navigate complex emergency contexts.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent writing and communication skills. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the regions where the project is implemented would be considered an asset, enhancing the ability to engage with diverse partners and stakeholders.

The contract length for this position is 12 months, with a designated duty station in Tunis. The expected start date is April 1, 202
