Job Overview:
The Data Engineer will play a strategic role under the direction of the Head of IT Services - Business Intelligence. The position involves the development and management of the organization's Business Intelligence platform, utilizing modern tools and technologies within the Azure environment, such as Fabric, Synapse, and Spark. The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing and maintaining the BI platform on Microsoft Fabric, creating and optimizing data pipelines using Azure tools or Talend, ensuring data availability and security, and implementing data governance. Additionally, the role includes contributing to the development of the service, the IT department, and BI across the organization, making it essential for the candidate to be curious and passionate about data management and BI tool optimization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and maintain the Business Intelligence platform on Microsoft Fabric.
  • Create and optimize data pipelines using Azure tools or Talend.
  • Ensure the availability and security of data and implement data governance practices.
  • Collaborate with various teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Contribute to the overall development of the IT service and BI within the organization.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements and tool enhancements.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and BI.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong background in data management and BI tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure ecosystem, particularly with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Spark.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric is highly desirable.
  • Strong skills in SQL and Python programming languages.
  • Experience in creating and deploying ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Familiarity with MS Power BI is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage priorities effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to propose innovative solutions.

Educational Background:
A degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a specialization in Data Engineering or Data Science is required. The candidate should have a solid understanding of data management principles and practices, as well as experience with relevant technologies and tools.

Experience:
The candidate should have confirmed experience in the MS Azure ecosystem, particularly with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Spark. Previous experience in a similar role or environment is essential, demonstrating the ability to manage data effectively and contribute to BI initiatives.

Languages:
Fluency in English, both oral and written, is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.

Additional Notes:
The position is classified as a full-time permanent contract (CDI) with a salary range of €46,000 to €55,000 gross annually, depending on experience. Additional benefits include a seniority bonus after three years of service, 25 days of annual leave, 21 days of RTT, health coverage with 80% paid by ACF, transport allowances covering 50% of commuting costs, and meal vouchers with 60% covered by the organization. The role allows for remote work, with no mandatory in-person presence except for collective meetings and events, which may require up to three days per month.
