Job Overview: The LogisticsCoordinator is responsible for overseeing the logistical activities of the mission to ensure the smooth implementation of Solidarités International's programs in the Central African Republic. This role involves establishing and ensuring compliance with logistical procedures and tools, participating in defining the mission's strategy, drafting project proposals, and determining the necessary resources for SI's activities. The Logistics Coordinator also supports the mission chief in operational security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security management and serves as the primary liaison between the headquarters and the mission regarding logistical matters. The position requires continuous training and support for local teams, particularly in a volatile security context where access to intervention areas can be challenging. The coordinator must anticipate project needs and respond quickly to the requirements of the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee all logistical operations for the mission, ensuring compliance with SI's procedures and tools.
Develop and implement logistical strategies to support program activities effectively.
Coordinate with the mission chief on security management and operational planning.
Train and support local teams in logistical processes and best practices.
Manage procurement, transportation, and storage of supplies and equipment.
Ensure the maintenance of logistical records and reporting.
Facilitate communication between the mission and headquarters regarding logistical issues.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of logistical operations and make recommendations for improvements.
Respond to emergency situations by mobilizing resources and coordinating logistics for rapid interventions. 1
Ensure compliance with donor regulations and reporting requirements related to logistics.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of a university degree (BAC + 3) in Logistics, Management, or Engineering.
At least 5 years of professional experience, including 2 years in a coordination role.
Experience in emergency contexts and challenging security environments.
Familiarity with complex logistical access situations (supply and transport).
Strong knowledge of project management for major institutional donors (ECHO, UNICEF, etc.).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to represent the organization and advocate for SI's interests.
Strong managerial skills, particularly in team management and remote technical support.
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 1

Experience: Candidates must have at least 5 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a coordination role. Experience in emergency contexts and challenging security environments is essential, as well as familiarity with complex logistical access situations involving procurement and transport.
Languages: Fluent French is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is considered a plus, enhancing communication capabilities within the organization and with international partners.
Additional Notes: This is a salaried position with a starting salary of EUR 2860 gross per month (2600 base salary + 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly) and a monthly per diem of FCFA 480,16
SI also covers housing costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's home country and the duty station. A work-leave system is in place, allowing for 7 working days off every three months, with an additional day of rest for each month worked. Expatriates benefit from comprehensive health insurance covering medical expenses, including dental and ophthalmological care, as well as repatriation. Vaccination and necessary malaria treatment costs are reimbursed. Living conditions in Bangui include access to various amenities, including sports facilities, restaurants, and supermarkets, although prices may be high. The city is relatively calm, but security measures must be adapted to the local context. SI provides a guest office in Bangui with internet access and backup power. Expatriates have access to medical facilities, including the French embassy's medical center.
