Job Overview:
The OECD's Directorate for Global Relations and Co-operation (GRC) is seeking Advisors, Economists, or Policy Analysts with expertise in regions such as South East Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, Africa, Central Asia, the Eastern Partner Region, Latin America, China, India, and Southeast Asia. The role involves supporting GRC's work programmes across diverse policy areas, including digitalisation, green growth, trade, and gender policies. Responsibilities include preparing internal documents, conducting research and policy analysis, liaising with stakeholders, and managing events. The selected candidates will work under the supervision of the Heads of Division in GRC, contributing to the OECD's Global Relations Strategy and enhancing cooperation with partner countries.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the Policy Analyst include conducting quantitative and qualitative research to analyze economic challenges and identify policy barriers relevant to the GRC's work programme. This involves analyzing documentary and statistical material, identifying policy issues, and developing tools to assist countries in implementing policy priorities. The analyst will also manage junior analysts, draft substantive papers, provide background information for strategic decisions, and monitor political and economic developments in selected regions. Additionally, the role requires liaising with officials from OECD and non-OECD countries, designing and delivering capacity-building activities, and assisting in project design and implementation, including resource mobilization and project monitoring. Coordination tasks include advising the Head of Division on various issues, organizing meetings, and preparing reports and presentations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in law, economics, economic development, international relations, or a related field. A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience dealing with the specified policies and regions is required. Knowledge of the economic and policy context of at least one of the indicated regions is essential. Experience in national administration or international organizations supporting senior management is advantageous, as is experience working in a multinational team with high autonomy. Candidates should demonstrate core competencies aligned with the OECD's expectations, including vision and strategy, ethics and integrity, collaboration, and innovation.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree in law, economics, economic development, international relations, or an equivalent field is required for this position. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complex economic and policy issues that the OECD addresses in its work with partner countries.

Experience:
The position requires at least three years of relevant professional experience in dealing with the policies and regions mentioned in the job description. Candidates should have a solid understanding of the economic and policy contexts of at least one of the specified regions. Experience working in a national administration or an international organization, particularly in support of senior management, is considered an advantage. Languages:

  • The monthly salary starts at 6,852.20 EUR, plus allowances based on eligibility, and is exempt from French income tax. The OECD may appoint candidates at one grade lower based on qualifications and experience.
