Job Overview:
This position involves consultancy for the training of officials in Family Commissions regarding the Restoration of Rights process. The goal is to enhance the quality, speed, and timeliness of service delivery in family law matters. The consultant will be expected to develop and implement training programs that equip officials with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively handle cases related to family rights and child protection. This role is crucial in ensuring that the services provided by Family Commissions meet the legal and ethical standards required for the protection of vulnerable groups, particularly children and adolescents. The consultant will also be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the training and making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive training curriculum focused on the Restoration of Rights process for Family Commission officials.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate officials on family law, child protection, and human rights.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to officials during the implementation of the training.
  • Assess the training needs of the officials and tailor programs accordingly.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Prepare reports on training outcomes and participant feedback.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders in the field of family law and child protection to ensure a holistic approach to training.
  • Stay updated on legal developments and best practices in family law and child protection.

Required Qualifications:
  • Professional degree in Law or Political Science with a valid professional license.
  • Specialized studies in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and human rights.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a lecturer or in positions related to higher education in law or political science, with a focus on Family Law.
  • Proven track record of academic publications related to the Child and Adolescent Code and legal protection of vulnerable groups.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with participants and stakeholders.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a professional degree in Law or Political Science. Additional qualifications in alternative dispute resolution and human rights are highly desirable. Academic publications in relevant fields will be considered an asset.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 4 years of specific experience in teaching or related roles in higher education, particularly in the areas of law or political science with an emphasis on Family Law. Experience in training or consultancy roles is also beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory for this position, as all training and documentation will be conducted in Spanish. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an advantage but is not required.

The consultancy is for a period of three (3) months. The position is part-time and involves working closely with UNDP and Family Commission officials.
