Job Overview: The position involves providing deliverable-based individual consultancy services for the coordination of workforce integration and capacity development activities specifically in the regions of Kocaeli and Tekirdag, Turkey. The consultant will be responsible for developing strategies and frameworks that enhance workforce integration and capacity development initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of local labor markets, workforce dynamics, and the ability to engage with various stakeholders including government agencies, private sector partners, and civil society organizations. The consultant will also be expected to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the implemented strategies and provide recommendations for improvement. The assignment is set to take place from March 2025 to October 2025, indicating a significant commitment to the project and its objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the current workforce integration and capacity development landscape in Kocaeli and Tekirdag.
Develop and implement strategies that promote effective workforce integration and enhance the capacity of local institutions.
Collaborate with local stakeholders to identify needs and gaps in workforce development.
Facilitate workshops and training sessions aimed at building capacity among local partners.
Monitor and evaluate the progress of the initiatives, providing regular reports to UNDP.
Prepare documentation and reports that summarize findings, recommendations, and lessons learned from the consultancy activities.
Proven experience in workforce development, capacity building, or related fields.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess labor market trends and workforce needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Familiarity with UNDP’s mission and development goals is an advantage.
Educational Background: A minimum of a Master’s degree in Human Resources, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in project management or workforce development would be beneficial.
Experience: At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in workforce development, capacity building, or consultancy roles is required. Experience working with international organizations or in a development context is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in Turkish is mandatory. Proficiency in English is also required, and knowledge of additional languages would be considered an asset.
Additional Notes: The contract duration for this consultancy is from March 2025 to October 2025, indicating a full-time commitment during this period. The position is open to both national and international candidates, and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
