Job Overview: The position of Local Consultant for writing a publication on knowledge-sharing on Anticorruption Initiative Assessment involves the development of a comprehensive publication that aims to share knowledge and insights regarding anticorruption initiatives. The consultant will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, and synthesizing findings into a coherent publication that can serve as a resource for stakeholders involved in anticorruption efforts. The consultant is expected to engage with various stakeholders, including government officials, civil society organizations, and international partners, to gather relevant information and perspectives. The assignment is set to take place from March 10, 2025, to December 1, 2025, and will require a total of 60 consultancy days. The consultant will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of anticorruption issues and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively through written publications.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Local Consultant include but are not limited to:
Conducting thorough research on existing anticorruption initiatives and their impact.
Engaging with stakeholders to gather insights and data relevant to the publication.
Analyzing collected data to identify trends, challenges, and best practices in anticorruption efforts.
Drafting the publication, ensuring clarity, coherence, and accessibility of the content.
Collaborating with UNDP and other partners to refine the publication based on feedback.
Ensuring that the publication aligns with UNDP's standards and objectives.
Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and engaging manner.
Meeting deadlines and managing time effectively to complete the assignment within the specified period.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the Local Consultant position include:
A strong background in social sciences, public policy, law, or a related field.
Proven experience in writing publications or reports, particularly in the field of anticorruption or governance.
Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise written content.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with UNDP's work and principles related to governance and anticorruption is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a minimum of a Master's degree in social sciences, public policy, law, or a related field. Candidates with a Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree will be given preference. Additionally, relevant certifications or training in anticorruption, governance, or related areas will be considered an asset.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 5 years of professional experience in research, writing, or consultancy related to governance, anticorruption, or public policy. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in the context of UNDP or similar entities, is highly valued. Demonstrated experience in conducting stakeholder consultations and producing high-quality publications is essential.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, as the publication will be written in English. Knowledge of local languages in Montenegro is an advantage, as it may facilitate engagement with local stakeholders. Proficiency in additional languages relevant to the region or international development is considered a plus.
