Job Overview: The position involves providing deliverable-based consultancy services specifically in the energy sector. The consultant will be expected to engage in various tasks that contribute to the development and implementation of energy-related projects. This role requires a deep understanding of energy policies, sustainable practices, and the ability to deliver results within specified timelines. The consultant will work closely with UNDP teams and stakeholders to ensure that the consultancy services align with the strategic objectives of the organization and meet the needs of the local context. The assignment is set to commence in March 2025 and will continue until January 2028, indicating a long-term commitment to the energy sector in Turkey.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be responsible for a range of duties including but not limited to: conducting comprehensive assessments of energy needs and resources; developing strategic plans and recommendations for energy projects; collaborating with local and international stakeholders to facilitate project implementation; preparing detailed reports and presentations on findings and recommendations; ensuring compliance with UNDP policies and procedures; providing technical expertise and guidance on energy-related issues; and monitoring and evaluating the progress of energy initiatives. The consultant may also be required to participate in workshops and training sessions to enhance the capacity of local partners in the energy sector.

Proficiency in Turkish is highly desirable, given the local context of the assignment. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the region may be considered an asset, enhancing the consultant's ability to engage with a broader range of stakeholders.
