Job Overview:
The consultancy role is designed to assist the ICT and T4D teams in strengthening regional cybersecurity. The consultant will be responsible for developing and executing cybersecurity awareness campaigns, conducting security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security assessments, managing incidents, and developing governance frameworks. The position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance with UNICEF's cybersecurity standards, enhance threat detection and response capabilities, and foster a collaborative cybersecurity environment. The consultant will also support the creation of a repository for best practices and facilitate knowledge sharing through virtual forums, ensuring that regional leads and HQ experts can discuss emerging threats and strategies effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the rollout of cybersecurity awareness campaigns, documenting implementation and analyzing outcomes, including reports on phishing attacks and follow-up actions.
  • Assist in analyzing and preparing local projects for global review to ensure compliance with UNICEF cybersecurity guidelines, producing reports on gaps and risks.
  • Oversee responses to cybersecurity incidents, analyze logs, and provide recommendations based on documented findings.
  • Collect, analyze, and disseminate threat intelligence findings.
  • Assist in developing and validating cybersecurity awareness training, including organizing webinars and meetings to share information on new threats and challenges.
  • Document and track attendance for webinars, moderate Q&A sessions, and take notes for follow-up actions.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum B.Sc. in Information Technology (IT) or Computer Science (CS); M.Sc. is desirable.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in cybersecurity.
  • Technical skills in authentication and MFA, penetration testing, network and application security, and cloud security.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, NIST, and ISO 27001 is considered an asset.
  • Experience with UN/UNICEF or similar international organizations is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, with a Master’s degree being desirable. This educational background is essential to ensure the consultant has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to perform effectively in the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the field of cybersecurity. This experience should encompass various aspects of cybersecurity, including incident management, threat intelligence, and compliance with international standards, which are crucial for the consultant to effectively support UNICEF's cybersecurity initiatives.

Languages:
