Duties and Responsibilities: The Finance Intern will be responsible for the following duties:
Digitizing vouchers and completing physical disbursement forms;
Classifying files in easily traceable sequential references;
Maintaining an effective and timely archiving system for both physical and electronic files to ensure all documents are accounted for;
Reviewing and verifying the accuracy and relevance of supporting documents for payments;
Providing administrative and logistical support for activities implemented by the Finance Unit;
Assisting in drafting routine correspondence and requests for the Finance Unit;
Contributing to liaising with other functional units that work closely with the Finance Unit;
Performing any other related tasks assigned by the Finance Unit supervisor.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Finance Intern position should possess the following qualifications:
Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Accounting, Administration, Management, Banking, or Finance;
Recent graduates (within the last year) are preferred;
Strong understanding of the preparation, examination, and verification of the accuracy and relevance of financial documentation;
Proficiency in drafting correspondence to banks or financial partners;
Good knowledge of accounting and/or finance principles;
Strong analytical skills in collecting and consolidating financial data/transactions;
Proficiency in computer applications and office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is an asset;
Fluency in French and/or English is required, with secondary proficiency in one of the two languages being an asset.
Educational Background: Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in relevant fields such as Accounting, Administration, Management, Banking, or Finance. This educational background is essential for understanding the financial processes and responsibilities associated with the internship.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have recently graduated (within the last year) from a university program as defined in the educational background section.
