Job Overview: The position of IC Consultant on Gender Mainstreaming in Digital Transformation is aimed at integrating gender perspectives into digital transformation processes. The consultant will be responsible for analyzing the current digital landscape and identifying gaps in gender representation and participation. The role involves developing strategies to ensure that digital transformation initiatives are inclusive and equitable, particularly for women and marginalized groups. The consultant will work closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society organizations, and the private sector, to promote gender-sensitive approaches in digital policies and practices. The assignment period is from 24 February 2025 to 31 March 2025, and the consultant is expected to deliver actionable recommendations and frameworks that can be implemented in ongoing and future digital transformation projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct a comprehensive analysis of existing digital transformation initiatives in Kosovo, focusing on gender representation and participation.
Identify barriers and challenges faced by women and marginalized groups in accessing and benefiting from digital technologies.
Develop a gender mainstreaming strategy that outlines specific actions to enhance gender equality in digital transformation efforts.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that gender considerations are integrated into digital policies and programs.
Provide training and capacity-building sessions for stakeholders on gender mainstreaming in digital transformation.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings and recommendations for UNDP and other relevant parties.
Monitor and evaluate the implementation of gender-sensitive approaches in digital initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in gender analysis and gender mainstreaming, particularly in the context of digital transformation.
Strong understanding of gender issues and challenges in the digital space.
Excellent analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations.
Experience working with government agencies, civil society organizations, and the private sector on gender-related projects.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Educational Background: A master's degree in gender studies, social sciences, international development, or a related field is required. Additional certifications or training in digital transformation or gender mainstreaming will be considered an asset.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in gender analysis, gender mainstreaming, and digital transformation initiatives is required. Experience working in international development contexts, particularly in Kosovo or the Balkan region, is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Albanian or Serbian is considered an asset and will be advantageous for this position.
