Job Overview:
The Programme Development and Support Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the Programme Development and Support Unit within the Country Office. This position involves preparing comprehensive reports and project proposals for various projects undertaken by the office. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and consolidating narrative reports from internal and implementing partners, analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data to facilitate the preparation of progress and final donor reports. This role requires close collaboration with Programme staff to ensure compliance with donor agreements and project documents, as well as the integration of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) frameworks. The officer will also be tasked with maintaining a central filing system for project-related information and ensuring the integrity of documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the preparation of reports and project proposals for all projects of the Country Office.
  • Review, consolidate, and analyze narrative reports from internal and implementing partners.
  • Prepare periodic and activity-specific reports for donors and relevant offices.
  • Draft charts, statistics, and relevant information for reporting purposes.
  • Assist in the development and harmonization of reporting tools and processes.
  • Liaise with Programme staff to monitor program developments and ensure compliance with donor agreements.
  • Research, write, and present documents necessary for project development.
  • Maintain a central filing system for project-related information.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Science, Business Administration, International Relations, Communications, Law, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant work experience; or a high school degree/certificate with a minimum of five years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven capacity to produce high-quality reports in English.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental and diplomatic authorities and international institutions.
  • Experience in preparing statistical charts, tables, and reports.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Political or Social Science, Business Administration, International Relations, Communications, or Law from an accredited academic institution. Alternatively, candidates with a high school degree or certificate must have a minimum of five years of relevant work experience. Accredited universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of three years of relevant work experience for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree, or five years for those with a high school diploma. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in producing high-quality reports, liaising with governmental and diplomatic authorities, and preparing statistical data for reports.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Greek (both written and oral) is required for this position. IOM’s official languages also include French and Spanish, and proficiency in these languages may be beneficial but is not mandatory. Language proficiency will be evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
