Job Overview:
The SRHR Integration and Emerging Trends Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of innovative health system strengthening programs aimed at improving the quality of care and increasing the uptake of SRHR services. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health and other line ministries, to ensure that SRHR is integrated across multiple sectors such as education, agriculture, and climate change. The specialist will also focus on enhancing knowledge about human rights-based SRHR and ensuring that vulnerable populations, particularly women and young people affected by migration, have access to necessary services. The role involves capacity building for healthcare workers and the development of advocacy tools to promote effective partnerships in SRHR.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The specialist will be responsible for supporting innovative SRHR programs, including the digitalization of healthcare and managing the KURA! program in collaboration with various partners. They will work closely with the Ministry of Health to strengthen health systems by revising strategic documents and updating healthcare provider curricula to include international SRHR competencies. The role also involves ensuring the implementation of midwifery curricula, supporting migration-related SRHR access, and integrating SRHR priorities into climate change adaptation plans. Additionally, the specialist will contribute to research and resource mobilization efforts, producing concept notes for funding opportunities and supporting evidence generation activities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in health sciences, midwifery, public health, or a related field with specialized knowledge in SRHR. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in SRHR is required, with demonstrated expertise in at least two areas such as clinical midwifery, digital health, or comprehensive abortion care. Experience working with government institutions on health systems strengthening and familiarity with the national health system in Rwanda or similar contexts is essential. Strong research, analytical, communication, and advocacy skills are also required, along with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree in health sciences, midwifery, public health, or a related field is mandatory for this position. Specialized knowledge in sexual and reproductive health is essential to fulfill the responsibilities effectively.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights. Candidates should have proven experience in working with government institutions and in health systems strengthening, particularly in policy development and program implementation related to SRHR.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of other UN working languages is considered an asset. Candidates should possess the ability to write clearly and concisely in English.
