Job Overview:
The Project Finance and Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in the administration and financial management of the 'Ship to Shore Rights South-East Asia' initiative, which aims to promote safe labor migration and decent work in the blue economy. This position involves ensuring compliance with ILO financial regulations and supporting the effective implementation of project activities in Thailand. The assistant will work closely with the National Project Coordinator and other stakeholders to maintain accurate financial records, prepare documentation for financial transactions, and provide logistical support for project activities. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate effectively with various partners, including government entities, NGOs, and community organizations. The assistant will also participate in capacity-building efforts related to financial reporting and will be involved in the organization of workshops and meetings related to the project.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Project Finance and Administrative Assistant include maintaining project financial records and monitoring systems, checking and preparing documentation for financial clearances, reviewing financial reports from project partners, classifying budget codes, providing administrative support to project staff, consulting with the Finance Unit on regulations, preparing recurring and special reports, calculating cost estimates, and providing logistical support for project activities. The assistant will also participate in capacity-building initiatives and undertake missions to project sites as needed. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks effectively.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have a completion of secondary school education, with formal training in accounting or finance being an asset. A strong understanding of financial and administrative rules, guidelines, and procedures is essential. The ability to maintain financial records, prepare reports, and demonstrate responsible behavior is crucial. Proficiency in computer software, particularly Excel and Microsoft Office applications, is required, along with the ability to communicate effectively in both Thai and English.

Educational Background:
The minimum educational requirement for this position is the completion of secondary school education. Additional formal training in accounting and/or finance is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's qualifications for the role.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least five years of progressively responsible experience in financial and administrative roles. This experience should demonstrate the ability to manage financial records, prepare reports, and provide administrative support in a complex organizational environment.

Languages:
