Job Overview: The position of Junior Knowledge Management Analyst in Insider mediation is designed for individuals who are looking to contribute to the UNDP's mission by enhancing knowledge management practices within the organization. The analyst will work closely with various teams to gather, analyze, and disseminate knowledge related to insider mediation processes. The consultant will also be expected to engage with various stakeholders to promote a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of knowledge management strategies related to insider mediation.
Collect, analyze, and synthesize information and data relevant to mediation efforts.
Document lessons learned and best practices from mediation initiatives and ensure they are accessible to stakeholders.
Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions and workshops to promote collaboration among teams.
Support the creation of knowledge products such as reports, case studies, and presentations.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and feedback on knowledge management practices.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of knowledge management initiatives and recommend improvements.
Contribute to the development of training materials and resources for staff on knowledge management tools and practices.
Assist in the maintenance of knowledge management platforms and databases.
Required Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in knowledge management tools and methodologies.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with mediation processes and practices is an advantage.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in social sciences, international relations, development studies, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline would be an asset and may substitute for some experience requirements.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 1-2 years of relevant experience in knowledge management, research, or a related field. Experience working with international organizations or in a development context is preferred. Familiarity with insider mediation processes will be considered an advantage.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly those relevant to the regions where UNDP operates, is considered an asset.
Additional Notes: The position is for a fixed term of 6 months and is classified as an individual contractor role. The consultant will be expected to work full-time during this period.
