Job Overview:
The Logistics Technical Assistant position is designed to provide essential support to the logistics team within the Country Office. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage assets within the logistics department, ensuring proper documentation and archiving of logistics-related information. The assistant will also be involved in payment submissions and will provide necessary support to other departments as required. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of logistics functions, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the organization's humanitarian efforts. The assistant will work closely with the Logistics Coordinator and other team members to implement logistics strategies and maintain accurate records of assets and inventory.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Technical Assistant will have a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: maintaining the asset register for the NRC Palestine West Bank Area, ensuring all information is complete and regularly shared with management; coordinating with logistics and IT teams to receive newly purchased items and assets, issuing asset tags, and delivering these to the appropriate personnel; preparing Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) and Waybills, and maintaining their filing according to NRC standards; coordinating with ICT and procurement for asset repairs and maintenance; preparing and submitting monthly and annual reports on asset management to the logistics coordinator; managing the fleet of NRC in the area office and assisting with movement planning; acting as the focal point for the annual physical check of assets; receiving loss and damage reports from staff members; documenting and archiving all supporting documents related to assets; and providing support for payment submissions and filing within the logistics department.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Logistics Technical Assistant position should possess basic experience working as a function officer in a humanitarian or recovery context. Previous experience in complex and volatile environments is essential. A good command of English, both written and verbal, is required, along with a strong understanding of asset management needs within an INGO context. A valid driver's license is also necessary for this role.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a relevant field is required for this position. This educational background will provide the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage logistics and asset-related tasks within the organization.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have a foundational level of experience in logistics or related fields, particularly in humanitarian settings. Experience in managing assets and understanding logistics processes in complex environments will be highly beneficial for applicants.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory for this role, as all documentation and communication will be conducted in this language. Additionally, knowledge of Hebrew is preferable, which will enhance communication and coordination within the local context.
