Job Overview:
The position of Coordinateur ou Coordinatrice Logistique involves overseeing the logistical operations of ALIMA's mission in Haiti. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of logistical management, including supply chain operations, team leadership, and the implementation of safety protocols. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all logistical activities align with ALIMA's mission objectives and adhere to established procedures. This includes managing the logistics team, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the efficient delivery of supplies and services to support humanitarian efforts in the region. The role also involves regular travel to project sites to monitor and support logistics operations, ensuring that the needs of the mission are met effectively and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Analyze and compile logistical data to inform decision-making and project management. 2. Organize and supervise the logistical functioning of the mission, including recruitment and training of logistics personnel. 3. Manage the supply chain, ensuring timely procurement, storage, and distribution of supplies. 4. Oversee the maintenance and management of mission assets, including vehicles and equipment. 5. Ensure compliance with ALIMA's logistical procedures and policies, including safety and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security measures. 6. Conduct regular assessments of logistical needs and adjust operations accordingly. 7. Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members and with external partners. 8. Ensure adherence to environmental policies and practices within logistical operations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong leadership skills, strategic vision, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment. They should demonstrate flexibility, stress management, and effective communication skills. A solid understanding of logistical management principles and practices is essential, along with the ability to analyze and synthesize information effectively. Candidates should also have a good command of basic computer applications such as Word and Excel.

Educational Background:
A relevant degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in humanitarian logistics or project management are advantageous.

Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar logistics role, preferably within an NGO context. Experience in managing logistics in humanitarian settings, particularly in health-related projects, is highly desirable. Proven experience in team management and capacity building is also required.

Languages:

The position is a fixed-term contract (CDD) for 6 months, with the possibility of extension. The salary is based on ALIMA's salary scale, taking into account experience and includes a daily per diem.
