Duties and Responsibilities: The Gender & Youth Specialist will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:
Ensuring that all activities of the organization incorporate gender and youth considerations.
Developing and periodically updating the GEYSI Analysis and Strategy in collaboration with project leadership.
Leading the finalization of learning questions and indicators, and contributing to the design of data collection and verification strategies.
Coordinating with Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) and Communications staff to monitor and report on the organization's inclusion work.
Participating in annual reviews to assess the impacts of GEYSI as part of the project’s adaptive management approach.
Supporting the integration of GEYSI into tools, strategies, and processes used by the team, subcontractors, and grantees.
Collaborating with project grantees to develop and refine GEYSI plans that encourage participation from youth, women, and marginalized groups in grant activities.
Contributing to project reporting, work planning, and communications, ensuring that reports reflect progress on gender, GBV, and social inclusion. 1
Developing communication materials to disseminate resources, promote GEYSI efforts, and share lessons learned and success stories. 1

Required Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in international development, gender studies, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. An advanced degree is preferred. Candidates should have at least 8 years of relevant working experience in gender and social inclusion. Experience working on USAID-funded projects or other donor-funded initiatives is highly preferred.
