Job Overview:
The OECD's Directorate for Employment, Labour and Social Affairs (ELS) is seeking several Policy Analysts to engage in analytical and policy-oriented work aimed at providing policy recommendations and advice to countries on international migration and integration issues. The role involves conducting data and policy analysis related to migration statistics, monitoring international migration flows and policies, and addressing the integration of immigrants and their children. The selected candidates will work under the guidance of a Senior Policy Analyst and the Head of Division in the International Migration Division, contributing to the development of evidence-based policy recommendations and drafting various publications to disseminate research findings.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Policy Analyst will be responsible for providing empirical analysis to support policy advice, including quantitative data analysis related to international migration. Responsibilities include conducting international comparisons and evaluations of migration and integration policies, developing evidence-based policy recommendations for member states, and contributing to the drafting and publication of policy reports, briefs, working papers, and other publications. Additionally, the analyst will prepare background documents, presentations, talking points, and summary notes to effectively communicate analysis and conclusions to both internal and external audiences. The role also involves organizing internal and external meetings and conferences, responding to requests for information about OECD's work on international migration, coordinating with other OECD divisions and external organizations on key migration issues, and participating in missions to member and non-member countries as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in economics, demography, public policy, social science, law, or a relevant field with a strong foundation in quantitative analysis. A minimum of five years of experience in applied research and analysis is required, preferably acquired in a university, research center, national administration, or international organization. In-depth knowledge of migration and/or integration policies, particularly in OECD countries, is essential, along with a good understanding of recent migration trends and key drivers affecting them. Experience in quantitative analysis of large datasets, such as household surveys and administrative data, is advantageous. Proficiency in statistical and econometric software, such as Stata, R, or Python, is also beneficial.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree in a relevant field such as economics, demography, public policy, social science, or law is required. The degree should provide a strong foundation in quantitative analysis, which is crucial for the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of professional experience in applied research and analysis. This experience should ideally be gained in settings such as universities, research centers, national administrations, or international organizations, with a focus on migration and integration policies.

Languages:
Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) is mandatory, along with knowledge of the other language and a commitment to reach a good working level in it.

Additional Notes:
The position is a 13-month fixed-term appointment with the possibility of renewal. The monthly salary starts at 7,738 EUR, depending on the level of experience, plus allowances based on eligibility, and is exempt from French income tax. The selection process may include a video-recorded interview, job-based assessment, and panel interviews.
