Job Overview: The Collaboration Tools Specialist will play a crucial role in the Information Management and Technology (IMT) department within the Business Operations Division of WHO. This position is designed to leverage technology to enhance collaboration across the organization, ensuring that tools such as Microsoft 365 are effectively deployed and maintained. The specialist will be responsible for developing governance policies for collaboration tools, gathering requirements to optimize their use, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity and data protection policies. The role requires a proactive approach to monitor tool usage, drive adoption, and provide third-level support for user requests. The specialist will also contribute to ICT projects and stay updated on the latest technologies to recommend enhancements that align with WHO's strategic goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and apply governance policies for collaboration tools including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Yammer, and Teams.
Gather requirements from stakeholders to optimize collaboration tools to meet organizational needs.
Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft 365 collaboration tools, ensuring their integration with other enterprise systems.
Ensure proper configuration, functioning, availability, and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security of Microsoft 365 collaboration tools, adhering to cybersecurity and data protection policies.
Monitor usage and performance of collaboration tools, driving user adoption through training and support.
Develop and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures for collaboration tools.
Create and maintain automation tools for deployment, operations, and management, including provisioning and de-provisioning of services and access authorizations.
Provide third-level support for user requests, incident management, and problem resolution.
Contribute to knowledge bases for users and support teams, enhancing the overall user experience. 1
Provide technical expertise to ICT projects in both HQ and Regional Offices related to collaboration services. 1
Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to WHO's information and communications technology infrastructure. 1

Required Qualifications:
First university degree in computer science, engineering, information management, or a related discipline.
Certifications related to Microsoft 365 collaboration services and ITIL are desirable.
At least 5 years of professional experience in deploying and supporting Microsoft 365 platforms for collaboration and applications, with a minimum of 2 years at the international level.
Proven experience supporting large-scale environments with global user bases, working across geographic and cultural boundaries.
Experience in developing, documenting, and maintaining system documentation and standard operating procedures is essential.
Recent working experience implementing and migrating to Microsoft 365 services is desirable, along with experience in mobile applications and project management within UN or international organizations.
Educational Background: The position requires a first university degree in computer science, engineering, information management, or a related field. Additional certifications related to Microsoft 365 collaboration services and ITIL are considered desirable, enhancing the candidate's qualifications for the role.
Experience: Candidates must have at least 5 years of professional experience in the relevant field, with at least 2 years of exposure at the international level. This experience should include supporting large-scale environments with a global user base and working collaboratively across diverse teams. Additional Notes: The position offers a competitive remuneration package, starting with an annual base salary of USD 64,121, subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance. Additionally, a variable post adjustment reflecting the cost of living in Budapest is provided, currently amounting to USD 2805 per month. Employees are entitled to 30 days of annual leave, allowances for dependent family members, home leave, and an education grant for dependent children.
