Job Overview: The People and Culture Associate (RAS) position is part of a batch vacancy announcement for multiple upcoming full-time roles within the Recruitment Administrative Services (RAS) at UNICEF. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the People and Culture Associate (RAS) include supporting recruitment by designing and developing improved services and delivery processes. The associate will administer the selection process for sensitive positions, prepare vacancy announcements, liaise with HR Business Partners and Hiring Managers, monitor the recruitment process lifecycle, pre-screen candidates, quality check long lists, arrange online assessments, coordinate interview arrangements, and inform unsuccessful candidates. Additionally, the associate will maintain knowledge of recruitment policies, develop standard operating procedures, create regular and ad hoc recruitment reports, and escalate non-compliance issues. The role also involves capacity building of P&C Assistants and ensuring fair distribution of recruitment cases among team members.
Required Qualifications: The minimum requirements for this position include completion of secondary education (high school diploma) and a minimum of six years of progressively responsible work experience in human resources, with at least two years in recruitment, administration, or talent management support. A working knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) or recruitment platforms is required. A relevant university degree in Human Resources Administration or Business Administration can substitute for three years of work experience, while a relevant master's degree may replace an additional two years. Advanced computer literacy and effective use of standard office software tools are also required, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Educational Background: Candidates are required to have completed secondary education, with professional or university courses in Human Resources Administration and Business Administration being highly desirable. A relevant university degree in Human Resources Administration or Business Administration from an accredited institution is preferred and can count towards work experience requirements.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of six years of progressively responsible work experience in human resources, including at least two years in recruitment, administration, or talent management support. Experience with applicant tracking systems or recruitment platforms is essential, and familiarity with UN/UNICEF's rules and regulations is desirable. Previous experience in a development organization and knowledge of working in developing countries or emergencies is also beneficial.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, along with a working knowledge of French or Spanish at an intermediate level (both verbal and written). Proficiency in Arabic at an intermediate level is considered an asset.
Additional Notes: This position is full-time, requiring eight-hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm, five days a week, with potential work on Sundays and compensatory days off. The salary for this position is tax-exempt in Hungary, starting at net HUF 806,005 per month. Employees are entitled to 30 days of annual leave, parental leave, and various benefits including medical insurance, pension plans, and access to professional development programs.
