Job Overview: The Young Associate will be positioned within the Director’s Office of the Global Relations and Co-operation Directorate (GRC) at the OECD. This role involves supporting the Directorate in various global relations tasks, particularly in preparing and coordinating strategic and policy content for documents and meetings. The Young Associate will engage in analysis and background research on partner countries, contribute to drafting speeches and briefing notes, prepare meeting summaries, and assist in time-sensitive activities that support the Director’s Office. The position also requires collaboration with colleagues to disseminate the Directorate's work and maintain connections with Member Country Delegations and other Directorates.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Young Associate will be responsible for conducting analysis and background research on partner countries as needed. They will contribute to drafting and reviewing speeches, talking points, and briefing notes, ensuring that all materials are well-prepared and relevant. The role includes preparing summaries of meetings and undertaking time-sensitive activities to support the Director’s Office. Additionally, the Young Associate will work alongside colleagues to support initiatives aimed at disseminating the Directorate's work, which may involve preparing various materials. They will also follow the work of relevant OECD committees concerning partner country participation and maintain links with Member Country Delegations and staff from other Directorates.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate should possess an undergraduate degree in economics, economic development, law, public policy, international relations, or a related discipline, with a graduation date between 1 January 2024 and 1 September 202
Applications from candidates who already hold or are enrolled in a Master’s, PhD, or equivalent degree will not be considered. Coursework in economics, law, and/or international relations is preferred, indicating a solid foundation in these areas.

Languages: Fluency in one of the two official OECD languages, English or French, is mandatory. Candidates should also have a knowledge of, or a willingness to learn, the other language. The monthly base salary for this role is 3,780.34 EUR, which is exempt from French income tax, along with additional allowances based on eligibility.
