Job Overview: The Communications Coordinator at Business at OECD (BIAC) will play a pivotal role in enhancing the visibility and effectiveness of the organization’s communications efforts. Reporting to the Policy and Strategic Communications Director, the coordinator will manage both internal and external communications activities, ensuring alignment with the overall communications strategy. This role involves creating audience-specific content for various communication channels, including social media, newsletters, and press releases. The coordinator will also oversee the communications for major events and campaigns, ensuring that all materials reflect the organization’s branding and messaging. The position requires a proactive approach to managing relationships with stakeholders and enhancing the organization’s brand visibility across its global network.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage external and internal communications activities to enhance visibility within the global network and with external stakeholders.
Develop and implement content plans and engagement strategies for social media and the website.
Coordinate the production and dissemination of the monthly newsletter, including article collection and editing.
Draft and proofread press releases, manage media relations, and handle press inquiries.
Organize interviews and analyze media coverage.
Manage communications for major events, special projects, and campaigns.
Develop, edit, and proofread brochures, presentations, and other communication materials.
Ensure branding materials are visible and corporate identity is maximized across all audiences.
Build and maintain relationships with communications, government, and public affairs professionals from the global network and relevant stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
A university degree in business, political sciences, international relations, communications, or a related field.
A minimum of two years of experience in a communications role with similar responsibilities, preferably in an international or business organization.
Proven experience in public affairs, stakeholder outreach, communication, and event management.
Very good knowledge of professional editorial standards.
Familiarity with online communication tools and methodologies, including online monitoring and web analytics.
Experience in producing video and photography content in a professional context.
Excellent working knowledge of internet technologies and current online innovations.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a university degree in a relevant field such as business, political sciences, international relations, or communications. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of communication within an international context and for effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of two years of professional experience in a communications role, ideally within an international organization or business setting. Candidates should have a proven track record in public affairs, stakeholder outreach, and event management, demonstrating their ability to navigate complex communication landscapes and engage effectively with various audiences.
Languages: Outstanding writing skills in English are mandatory, along with a good knowledge of French. Proficiency in an additional language would be considered an advantage, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate with a broader range of stakeholders and audiences.
