Job Overview:
The Reporting and Communications Officer will play a crucial role in the coordination and consolidation of reports for various donors, collaborating with program teams on multi-base and multi-sector projects. The position involves managing a diverse portfolio of donors, including the EU, US, and various national agencies. The officer will be responsible for updating grant tracking tools and maintaining a significant volume of communication actions. The first two to three months will focus on drafting contractual reports, preparing for the 2025 project proposal season, and operationalizing the communication plan in line with donor visibility requirements. The role also includes supporting SI teams and national partners in reporting and communication efforts, ensuring that all activities align with the organization's strategic objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The main duties and responsibilities of the Reporting and Communications Officer include:
  • Writing and consolidating donor reports in collaboration with program teams on multi-base and multi-sector projects.
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of donors and ensuring compliance with their reporting guidelines.
  • Updating and maintaining grant tracking tools to monitor project progress and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinating with national partners to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Supporting the preparation of project proposals for the upcoming 2025 season, anticipating a significant volume of submissions.
  • Participating in the operationalization of the communication plan, ensuring adherence to donor visibility requirements.
  • Developing regular communication tools such as newsletters and ad-hoc materials like photos, videos, and articles.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Reporting and Communications Officer position should possess the following qualifications:
  • Strong analytical, writing, and synthesis skills.
  • Good understanding of donor reporting mechanisms and guidelines relevant to the mission.
  • Technical knowledge of food security and water, hygiene, and sanitation activities is desirable but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of the humanitarian sector and the context in DRC is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and anticipation skills.
  • Fluency in French is essential, and proficiency in English is desirable.
  • Previous experience or internship at the desk level is a plus.

Educational Background:
Candidates should have a higher education degree in Political Science, International Relations, International Development, or a related field. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of humanitarian work and the reporting requirements associated with it.

Experience:
The position requires at least some prior experience in the humanitarian sector, particularly in roles that involve reporting and communication. Languages:
