Job Overview: The position of Coordinateur.trice de la Logistique et de l'Approvisionnement involves defining and implementing comprehensive strategies for procurement, logistics, and ICT support for the mission. The role requires ensuring the relevance and coherence of logistics and procurement systems, adequacy of resources, and compliance with INTERSOS standards, protocols, and procedures. The coordinator will work closely with program and administrative staff to ensure comprehensive support for all INTERSOS activities. This position is crucial for managing logistics software and is part of the Senior Management Team (SMT).
Duties and Responsibilities: The main responsibilities include actively participating in the definition and updating of annual project planning and budgets, ensuring the implementation of logistics, procurement, and ICT activities, and maintaining compliance with INTERSOS standards. The coordinator will provide technical reference and support for all logistics, procurement, and ICT issues, produce monthly reports on project progress, and ensure effective supply chain management. Additionally, the role involves overseeing transportation management, facility management, asset management, and human resourcescoordination, ensuring that all operations align with INTERSOS policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess essential knowledge in logistics and supply chain management, with a strong understanding of procurement processes. Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, and Internet is required. The role demands strategic vision, leadership skills, and the ability to manage and develop personnel effectively. Flexibility, service orientation, and a results-driven mindset are also essential.
Educational Background: A higher university degree is essential, with specialization in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. This educational background is critical for understanding the complexities of logistics and procurement in humanitarian contexts.
Experience: Candidates should have at least four years of relevant professional experience in logistics roles, particularly within humanitarian organizations in developing countries. Previous experience in emergency situations is highly desirable, as it equips candidates with the necessary skills to navigate challenging environments.
Languages: Fluency in French is mandatory, while knowledge of English is desirable. Proficiency in these languages is crucial for effective communication within the organization and with external stakeholders.
