Job Overview: The position of Coordinateur.ice Logistique is based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and is crucial for overseeing the logistical activities of the mission to ensure the smooth execution of Solidarités International's programs in the country. The coordinator is responsible for implementing and adhering to the logistical procedures and tools of Solidarités International, ensuring their proper use. This role involves participating in defining the organization's strategy in the mission, drafting project proposals, and determining the necessary resources for the activities. The coordinator also supports the mission chief in operational security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security management and serves as the primary logistics contact between the headquarters and the mission. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Coordinateur.ice Logistique include:
Leading the logistical activities of the mission to ensure effective program implementation.
Establishing and enforcing logistical procedures and tools in line with SI's standards.
Collaborating with the mission chief to define the operational strategy and resource allocation.
Managing the supply chain, including planning and quantifying needs for both national and international logistics.
Technical skills in EHA (Water, Hygiene, and Sanitation) and protection-related logistics.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a relevant degree, such as a Bachelor's or Master's in Logistics, Humanitarian Management, or a related field. This educational background is essential to understand the complexities of humanitarian logistics and to effectively manage the logistical needs of the mission.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 3-4 years of relevant experience in the humanitarian sector, with a focus on logistics. Experience in a similar role is crucial to ensure that the candidate can effectively manage the logistical challenges faced by the mission, particularly in a context like Haiti where security and funding issues are prevalent.
Languages: Fluency in French is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in English or other languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication with international teams and stakeholders.
Additional Notes: The position is a short-term contract with a duration of 5 months, starting as soon as possible. The salary is competitive, starting at EUR 2860 gross per month, which includes a base salary and a 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly, along with a monthly per diem of USD 75
SI covers accommodation and travel expenses between the expatriate's home country and the assignment location. The working conditions include a rotation system allowing for breaks every three months, with additional rest days accrued. Expatriates receive comprehensive health insurance covering medical expenses, including vaccinations and malaria treatment.
