Job Overview:
The position of Logistics Coordinator is based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The primary responsibility of the Logistics Coordinator is to oversee the logistical activities of the mission to ensure the smooth implementation of Solidarités International's programs in the country. This includes establishing and enforcing logistics procedures and tools, participating in the definition of the organization's strategy, drafting project proposals, and determining the necessary resources for activities. The Logistics Coordinator also supports the mission leader in operational security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security management and acts as the liaison between the headquarters and the mission regarding logistics matters. Additionally, the coordinator represents SI at logistics meetings and events as requested by the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the following duties:
- Oversee the logistics operations of the mission, ensuring compliance with SI's procedures and tools.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with the mission's needs.
- Manage the supply chain, including planning, procurement, and distribution of goods and services.
- Ensure the proper management of financial resources and human resources within the logistics department.
- Maintain and manage infrastructure, networks, and technical equipment.
- Address security aspects related to logistics operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure integrated and effective program delivery.
- Provide training and support to logistics staff and ensure capacity building within the team.
- Monitor and evaluate logistics activities and report on performance and challenges. 1
- Represent SI in external meetings and coordinate with local authorities and partners.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a degree in Logistics Management or a related field, with a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in humanitarian logistics. Experience in a similar position is also required. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage logistics operations effectively in challenging environments. Proficiency in financial management and human resources within a logistics context is essential, as well as experience in managing infrastructure and security aspects of logistics operations.
Educational Background:
A required educational background includes a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Candidates should have formal training in humanitarian logistics and management principles to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
Experience:
The position requires candidates to have at least 3-4 years of relevant experience in the humanitarian sector, specifically in logistics roles. Experience in managing logistics for humanitarian projects in complex environments is highly valued, as well as familiarity with the challenges faced in emergency response situations.
Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in English or Spanish would be considered an asset, as it may facilitate communication with international partners and stakeholders.

The position is a short-term contract with a duration of 5 months, starting from April 1, 202
- The salary is competitive, starting at EUR 2860 gross per month, plus a monthly per diem of USD 75
- Solidarités International covers housing costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's home country and the duty station. The organization also provides a break system, allowing for 7 working days off every three months, along with an additional day of rest for each month worked. Expatriates receive comprehensive health insurance covering medical expenses, including dental and ophthalmological care, as well as vaccination and malaria treatment costs. The working environment in Haiti is described as pleasant, with a supportive team dynamic. The position is based in a secure guest house with individual rooms, located 1 km from the office, and the office is situated in a calm residential area.
