Job Overview:
The Communications Co-ordinator position at the OECD's Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities (CFE) involves developing digital content, coordinating projects, and supporting the communications culture and strategy of the CFE. The role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple competing demands across various topics. The successful candidate will work closely with the Communications and Public Affairs Manager and collaborate with colleagues in the Communications, Publications, and Events Team. The position is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring flexibility, adaptability, and strong multi-tasking abilities to effectively engage with diverse audiences and stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Social Media Management: Develop and implement social media engagement strategies to maximize the reach of CFE content. Plan and create engaging content, ensuring a balance of materials from across the Directorate. Design digital visuals in alignment with OECD branding rules. Collaborate with divisions to draft and publish impactful content, including tagging and direct engagement with key audiences. Analyze metrics and analytics to tailor digital content effectively. Provide training to CFE staff on maximizing their social media presence. Participate in the COM Community of Practice for Impact and Social Media.
  • Website Development Support: Manage the Directorate’s websites by improving structure and functionality, reviewing content, and ensuring accuracy. Ensure compliance with OECD web governance rules and best practices. Provide tools and guidance on web content best practices. Participate in the COM Community of Practice for Web.
  • Digital Communications: Coordinate content for electronic newsletters, collaborating on scheduling and producing content. Contribute to the design and dissemination of high-quality communications materials targeted at various stakeholders, including videos, podcasts, and presentations. Develop event branding for key events in alignment with OECD corporate branding.
  • Publications and Projects: Collaborate with authors and the CFE Comms Team to prepare publications and manuscripts for online dissemination. Contribute to the production of high-quality publications, including copyediting and quality control. Advise authors on editorial processes and support the CFE Communications Strategy by identifying new audiences and engaging stakeholders effectively.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess a university degree in Communications, Journalism, or Information Technology. A minimum of two years' experience in a communications role with similar responsibilities is required. Proven editorial skills and experience in writing for diverse audiences in a clear and engaging style are essential. Proficiency in web writing, blogging, and social media analytics is necessary, along with experience in web design and maintenance, particularly with Adobe Experience Manager. Familiarity with OECD practices or similar experience in an international organization is advantageous.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have post-secondary education, preferably a university degree in Communications, Journalism, or Information Technology. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of communication strategies and digital content management.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years' experience in a communications role, demonstrating the ability to manage various responsibilities effectively. Experience in writing for different audiences and presenting information creatively is essential. Familiarity with web design and maintenance, particularly using Adobe Experience Manager, is also required.

Languages:
Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) is mandatory, along with knowledge of the other language, with a commitment to reach a good working level. Knowledge of additional languages would be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with a broader audience.

The monthly salary starts at 4302.38 EUR, plus allowances based on eligibility, and is exempt from French income tax.
