Job Overview:
The Medical Coordinator will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic vision and providing technical support for the health programs in Jordan. This position requires collaboration with senior management and health teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality health services to beneficiaries. The Medical Coordinator will be responsible for frequent field visits to monitor service delivery standards and ensure that clinical services in IMC-supported facilities meet high-quality benchmarks. The role also involves monitoring service quality, managing pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, and utilizing clinical data for quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, the Medical Coordinator will represent IMC in national health coordination meetings and liaise with the Ministry of Health and other partners to enhance health programming capacity.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Medical Coordinator's duties include providing technical leadership and ensuring the quality of medical interventions in IMC projects. This involves prioritizing patient-centered services, operational supervision of health programming activities, and ensuring compliance with established best practices. The Coordinator will oversee data collection and reporting for health programs, manage supplies and drugs, and contribute to the development of health informatics tools. Responsibilities also include strategic planning for future health programs, advocating for health rights, managing human resources, conducting project evaluations, and ensuring effective pharmaceutical management. The Coordinator will maintain communication with senior management and donor staff to ensure programmatic relationships are optimized and will perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a medical degree, with a preference for a Master's degree in Public Health. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered. The position requires at least 10 years of experience, including 5 years in health programs at a managerial level and 2 years in project design and management related to primary health care and other health sectors. Experience in dealing with international staff, donor agencies, and government officials is essential, along with demonstrated knowledge of the development sector and international health organizations. Candidates should have experience with procurement processes and compliance procedures, as well as excellent English language skills for technical communication.

Educational Background:
The ideal candidate should have a medical degree, complemented by a Master's degree in Public Health or a related field. This educational background is critical for understanding the complexities of health programming and management in humanitarian contexts.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within health programs. Candidates should also have 2 years of experience in project design and management, particularly in areas such as maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, and communicable diseases. Experience in complex environments and with international health organizations is highly valued.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with the ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret both technical and non-technical information. Proficiency in Arabic is also beneficial, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and health authorities.

This position offers a salary range between 2700 JD and 3500 JD, depending on qualifications and experience.
